Portable Shade Project 2023
Shade helps protect children from skin cancer and the sun by reducing UVR exposure by up to 75%. Help kids and your organisation become SunSmart.
Cancer Council Queensland’s Portable Shade Project aims to provide shade for not-for-profit organisations catering for children (0-18 years). Successful applicants will be provided with high-quality UPF50+ portable shade marquees (3×3 metres).
In 2022, Cancer Council Queensland provided 394 fully funded marquees to eligible not-for profit organisations. This year, we particularly encourage junior sporting clubs and associations to apply.
Eligibility:
- Not-for-profit organisations that cater for children up to the age of 18 years, including junior sporting clubs and community groups can apply for a free Portable Shade Marquee.
- Marquees are available per site so that organisations with multiple sites may be eligible for more than one marquee.
